About Us

North Jersey Concert Band on stage

The North Jersey Concert Band is dedicated to enriching the lives of its broad and diverse audience in the Northern New Jersey area by sharing its passion for music through an inspired and unmatched musical experience. We welcome aspiring and accomplished musicians, who together explore a wide range of musical styles with a high level of musicianship, mutual respect and professionalism.

Founded in 2008 with just 10 charter members, the North Jersey Concert band has grown to 60 plus members, and under the direction of conductor Mike Roth, has become one of the premier ensembles in the North Jersey area.

Comprised of members from all walks of life including talented high school students, teachers and amateur musicians, NJCB performs between 12-15 performances, and operates year-round. Performing in various venues throughout the North Jersey area, NJCB musicians and audiences alike enjoy a varied repertoire that ranges from contemporary compositions for wind ensemble, big band, Broadway show tune favorites, pop tunes and classic marches.

NJCB welcomes new musicians who are looking to fully participate in a challenging and rewarding musical ensemble. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact the band at info@njcb.org to learn more about the process for admission. Rehearsals are held every Wednesday evening from 8:00pm – 10:00pm in Oakland NJ.

We invite you to search around through our website to learn more about our ensemble. If you would like membership information, or would like to hire the band, please use our contact form and send us a note!

NJCB is established a 501(c)3 charitable organization, providing quality musical experiences to the greater North Jersey area. Donations are always welcomed, and are completely tax deductible.
